Nissan Continues to Perfect EV Quick Charging

Currently, one of the biggest things holding electric vehicles back from enjoying envious sales numbers is the fact that they require lengthy recharge times once the battery runs out. The good people at Nissan realize this, which is why they're actively looking to lower the amount of time that it takes to charge an EV like the Nissan LEAF, something that we here at Passport Nissan have been following quite closely.

In September, the Japanese automaker debuted an all new quick charger, which beats the previous generation's 30-minute, 80-percent charging time with no trouble. While 30 minutes is great, Nissan knows that it can do better, which is why it's already boasting about a ten-minute quick charger, which is in development.

We here at 5000 Auth Way Marlow Heights, MD 20746 thought that the 30-minute charger sounded impressive enough, but ten minutes? That's just incredible! Unfortunately, however, Nissan is being realistic about the new technology, saying that it's currently about ten years away from hitting the market.

We should note, however, that this is only a estimation for how long the technology will take to develop. At the rate that Nissan is currently going, we honestly wouldn't be surprised if they managed to release the technology sooner than anticipated.
