Trim Levels (Exterior)
The Sentra S is the entry-level model. It has 16-inch steel wheels, automatic halogen headlights, and power-adjustable side exterior mirrors. The SV adds heat to the side mirrors, and it comes with 16-inch alloy wheels. The SV Premium Package adds 17-inch alloy wheels and a power moonroof to the SV. A bump up to the sporty SR gets you 18-inch alloy wheels, reflector LED headlights, LED daytime running lights, and LED fog lights. It also has LED turn signals in the side mirrors and a rear spoiler. Nissan offers the SR Premium package with projector LED headlights and a moonroof.
Engine (Power)
All the Sentra models get power from a 2.0-liter four-cylinder gas engine. It develops 149 horsepower and uses front-wheel drive. A continuously variable automatic transmission comes standard at all trim levels.
Performance
The 2.0-liter engine has the pep you want for city driving and easily propels the Sentra up to cruising speed. It's also fuel-efficient. You can expect to get up to 29 mpg in the city and an impressive 39 mpg on the highway. The Sentra's suspension easily cruises over bumps in the road and smooths them out for a comfortable ride, while the responsive steering system and strong brakes give you a confident feel behind the wheel.
Interior
There's room for five in the Sentra. The front-seat passengers get Nissan's Zero Gravity seats for extra comfort. Cloth upholstery comes in the lower trims, with quilted leather available for the SV with the Premium Packages. The SR has SR sport cloth upholstery and offers simulated leather with its Premium Package. Additional upgrades Nissan makes available include a six-way power-adjustable driver's seat, heated front seats, and a leather-wrapped steering wheel and shift knob. A 7-inch color touch screen sits in the Sentra's dash, and all trims now come standard with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. You'll also get Bluetooth, a hands-free text messenger assistant, Siri Eyes Free, and a USB port. An 8-inch touch screen comes in the SV, which also gets two more USB ports and an upgraded stereo.
Safety Features
Nissan's Safety Shield 360 suite of advanced driver aids comes standard with all the Sentra models. It includes a forward-collision warning system with automatic braking, pedestrian detection, blind-spot monitor, automatic rear braking, and rear cross-traffic alert. A lane-departure warning system is also part of this group, along with a haptic steering wheel and automatic high-beam headlights. Adaptive cruise control comes standard with the SV, and if you have the SR with the Premium package, it comes with a 360-degree surround-view camera system.
