Utility is another area where Armada delivers, with a highly functional front center console that can be opened/closed from the front and rear. A removable tray holds small items, while a deep well is available for larger ones. A 120-volt outlet with 400-watt capacity is standard on SL and Platinum grades, allowing users to easily power a wide variety of indoor and outdoor accessories. The 2021 Nissan Sentra was announced as one of four, model year 2021-22, vehicles to receive straight A’s in Cars.com’s 2021 Car Seat Fit Report Card. The Car Seat Fit Report Card provides parents and caregivers with essential information on family vehicles that “best fit car seats for infants, toddlers and young children.” Cars.com’s certified child-passenger safety technicians evaluated 51 family vehicles for this year’s report. Calling the Nissan Sentra “a budget-friendly option for small families,” the Cars.com editors wrote, “Sentra’s roomy backseat played nicely with our new car seats.” more A recent Cars.com survey showed that 56% of parents stated they have installed a car seat incorrectly, while 84% of parents find some level of the process frustrating. To earn an “A” grade, a vehicle must show it has plenty of room for the car seat and the child, without affecting legroom for the driver or front passenger. Vehicles must also demonstrate their Lower Anchors and Tethers for Children (LATCH) System is easy to find and use, without any fit issues. “What serves as icing on the cake, is that the other three vehicles called out by Cars.com Honor Roll are larger vehicles,” said Jared Haslam, vice president, Product and Services Planning, Nissan U.S. and Canada. “Not all car seats fit in all vehicles and choosing the appropriate child restraint system can be confusing. Kicks offers a standard Traction Control System, Vehicle Dynamic Control and Hill Start Assist, front disc/rear drum Anti-lock Braking System (S grade) and electric power steering. Kicks SV and SR grades add new rear disc brakes. New for 2021 as standard on SV and SR grades are Intelligent Cruise Control and an electronic parking brake with auto hold, which can ease driver workload in certain situations. Kicks SR also includes an Integrated Dynamic-Control Module, featuring Active Engine Brake, Intelligent Trace Control and Intelligent Ride Control, to help provide a higher level of driving enjoyment. Nimble handling is provided by a front independent strut, stabilizer bar suspension matched with rear suspension featuring twist beam and twin-tube shock absorbers. Kicks S grade comes with 16-inch steel wheels mounted with 205/60R16 all-season tires. Kicks SV and SR grades are equipped with 17-inch aluminum-alloy wheels with 205/55R17 all-season tires. Kicks is also equipped with a total of 10 air bags. Intelligent Driver Alertness8 and Rear Door Alert are standard on SV and SR grades. The results are in and Nissan has recorded remarkable gains in the J.D. Power 2021 Initial Quality Study (IQS) awards, including three top segment rankings out of seven eligible Nissan nameplates. The Nissan Maxima is the best-performing vehicle in the industry and the Smyrna, Tennessee Assembly plant (Murano line) is the top-rated plant in the Americas, earning a Gold Plant Quality Award. Overall in 2021, Nissan ranked fourth among mass market brands, 12 points ahead of industry average – an increase of seven positions.
